Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in. Everything you save stays on your iPhone.
Can I use it offline?
Yes. The Quran text and translation are built in. Recitation you’ve played is kept for offline listening when “Download audio as it plays” is on in Settings, and you can limit downloads to Wi-Fi.
Recitation won’t play. What can I try?
Recitation streams when an ayah isn’t on your iPhone yet. Check your connection, and make sure “Stream if an ayah isn’t downloaded” is on in Settings. If you limit downloads to Wi-Fi, connect to Wi-Fi first.
How do I change the reciter?
In Settings, choose Reciter. You can play a short sample of each one. Each reciter keeps their own downloads, so switching back still works offline.
How do I free up space?
In Settings, choose “Remove downloaded recitation”. Your progress stays. You can download recitation again at any time.
Where are my recordings?
Recordings are stored only on your iPhone, and they’re left out of iCloud and computer backups. Delete them one passage at a time, or all at once from Settings.
Will my progress move to a new phone?
Yes, if you restore your new phone from an iCloud or computer backup. Your progress is part of your device backup. Recordings and downloaded recitation are not, so recitation downloads again on the new phone as you play it.
Deleting your data
- Remove downloaded recitation: Settings → Remove downloaded recitation.
- Delete recordings: per passage, or Settings → Delete all recordings.
- Delete everything: remove the app. All of its data is removed with it.
There’s no account and we never receive your data, so there’s nothing to delete on our side. See the privacy policy for details.
